Your First Steps
Now that you're logged in, let's get you set up!
Step 1: Create Your Installation
An installation is where all your TWIST products live—whether it's your home, vacation property, or business location.
- You'll be prompted to create your first installation
- Give it a name (e.g., "Home" or "Backyard")
- Set the location (you can use your phone's location or enter it manually)
- Tap Create Installation

You can create multiple installations if you have TWIST systems in different locations.
Step 2: Add Your Gateway
Your gateway is the hub that connects all your TWIST products to the internet and the app.
- Tap Add Products
- Choose Scan QR Code or let the gateway search for nearby devices
- Follow the setup instructions for your gateway (WiFi or Ethernet connection)
Step 3: Add Your Products
Once your gateway is connected, you can start adding your outdoor living products:
- Go to Add Products
- Scan the QR code on your product or let the gateway discover it
- Follow the configuration steps (this varies by product type)
- Give it a name you'll recognize
- Tap Save
Step 4: Control Your Products
Once products are added, you'll see them on your Dashboard. You can now:
- Turn lights on and off
- Open and close shutters
- Adjust positions
