Create Scenes

A scene (also called a shortcut) is a saved state of your installation (or part of it) that you can activate with a single tap. Scenes allow you to quickly set multiple products to predefined states without controlling each one individually.

What Are Scenes?

Scenes capture the current state of selected products and save it for instant recall. For example, you can create a "Movie Night" scene that dims the lights, closes the screens, and adjusts the heaters—all with one tap.

Why Use Scenes?

Scenes are useful for:

  • Quick Control: Set multiple products instantly (e.g., "Good Morning" opens screens and turns on lights)
  • Convenience: Avoid repeatedly adjusting the same products
  • Consistency: Always return products to the same preferred state
  • Daily Routines: Create scenes for common activities (bedtime, entertaining guests, etc.)

How Scenes Work

Scenes Save Current State

When you create a scene:

  1. You select which products/models to include
  2. You set those products to the desired state using normal controls
  3. You save the scene, which captures the current state of the selected products

Activating a Scene

When you activate a scene:

  • All products in the scene are set to their saved states simultaneously
  • Example: "Relax" scene sets lights to 30%, closes screens halfway, turns on heaters

Creating a Scene: Step-by-Step

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Scenes

    • Go to Scenes in the main menu or navigation bar
    • Or access from the Dashboard
  2. Start Creating a New Scene

    • Tap New Scene, Add Scene, or + Create
  3. Name the Scene

    • Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Good Morning", "Movie Night", "Bedtime")
    • This helps you identify the scene later
  4. Select Products/Models

    • Choose which products and models to include in the scene
    • You can select:
      • Individual models (e.g., just the living room lights)
      • Entire products (e.g., the whole pergola)
      • Multiple products across the installation
  5. Set Desired States

    • Use the normal product controls to set each selected product to its desired state
    • Examples:
      • Set lights to 50% brightness
      • Close screens to 75%
      • Set pergola louvres to 30°
      • Turn heaters on or off
    tip

The scene will save the current state of the selected products, so make sure everything is set exactly as you want it before saving.
